*Tek Tek Tek Tek Tek Tek Tek Tek Tek*

Yesterday was a super hectic day at work.
I need to prepare up many scripts for testing of our upcoming system which will be launch next year February.
While in the midst of doing my job, ordering people to do this and do that, getting into long and boring and intense discussions how to deliver the project efficiently

And then out of the blue,
*TEK TEK TEK TEK TEK TEK TEK TEK TEK*
Well, that's a loud SMS ringtone from my old trusty Nokia 1100 :P

"Sigh....", I wondered, "who is it?".
"WOW! Someone done wanted to date me on on the 1st of January!", I exclaimed as I read the SMS.
Big smile started to swell around my face, and I've forgotten that I looked gloomy the whole day job earlier.

My colleague stared at me and wondering why am I so smiley suddenly. But good for him, he got a happy colleageu accompany him during the intense job :D Hehehe!

Finally, I would like to thank that person for brightening up my day!

Next, later in the evening at 10:34pm I've completed The Word study with a friend and he's so looking forward and encouraged to know that the Bible is indeed a no ordinary book :) The LORD is so ever to be praised!

Indeed, yesterday is a good day to be remembered :)

Reminiscence - Reflections of the Heart

This morning I woke up humming this song. So coincedently, I found out that today is Steven Curtis Chapman's birthday!
Indeed this song is so wonderfully composed for his loved ones. Surely we too have our own loved ones and let's hum this song along as we remember those people that are important and dear to us.

Today I have 2 special friends whose also birthday fall on this day, Alisha and Catherine.
So I would like to dedicate this wonderful song to you both :)
Happy happy birthday!
Stay strong!
And stay awesome!

**** Start of lyric ****
"I Will Be Here" (by Steven Curtis Chapman)

Tomorrow morning if you wake up and the sun does not appear
I will be here
If in the dark, we lose sight of love
Hold my hand, and have no fear
'Cause I will be here

I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to cryin'
Through the winning, losing and trying
We'll be together
I will be here

Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I will be here
Just as sure as seasons were made for change
Our lifetimes were made for these years
So I will be here

I will be here
And you can cry on my shoulder
When the mirror tells us we're older
I will hold you
And I will be here
To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here

I will be true to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me
I will be here

Just as sure as seasons were made for change
Our lifetimes were made for these years
So I will be here

I will be here...

Luke 15:10 "In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

Taiping Mission Trip Report

We are grateful and thankful to God for saving one soul in Taiping!
All praise and honor and glory to His Name :)

Taiping, 10th November.

We finally baptised Aunty Yeoh!
Aunty Yeoh is a mother of Siew Fong, a sister from the Singapore Church. Indeed this is a joyous for her to see her beloved mother decided to follow Christ :)

After ending the Bible discussion with a group of 9 people, we started to prepare for the baptism.
Finding a place to baptise someone in Taiping can be quite a challenge as not we have not access to swimming pools and in addition, most of the hotels with bath tub are fully occupied.
Finally we decided to buy a large inflatable pool that can really fit 2 -4 adults at Tesco earlier shortly after a lunch at my aunt's house in Kamunting.

Lastly, enjoy the photo story below to get a glimpse of the hardwork we put to make it possible.

- the arrival at Siew Fong's house.

- getting the inflatable pool ready

- Cynthia offer her help by pumping air to inflate the pool till it's ready to be poured with water.

- Ang is hard at work to fill the bucket with water

- people involved in Aunty Yeoh's study : Siew Fong and Cynthia

- Aunty Yeoh overlooking the pool as the pool is ready with water

- sharing

- more sharing till Aunty Yeoh is ready to be baptised after counting the cost by Siew Fong

- Aunty Yeoh got into the pool and finally got baptised!

- group photo after the baptism :)

It's truly a hard work, but God bless that day after all and gladly welcome a new soul becoming a part in His kingdom.

To God be the glory! Amen!

Rain of Love

I heard this song from a Japanese anime called "Dragonaut". This song lyric is translated from Japanese and it's really inspiring and touching. Hope you all will like it as well :)

In the instant our eyes met
I had a feeling the sorrow would begin.
These incredible memories still connect our hearts,
even now.

There are as many thousands of people as there are stars.
But all I can see is you.
We may not be able to meet and it may never come true.
But these ever strengthening feelings will surely be eternal.

Even if fate rips us apart,
I will believe that our meeting was a miracle.
It will continue to flow just like this rain.
I just want to shower you with my adoration,
Rain of Love.

Encourage My Soul

Encourage my soul,
And let us journey on.
For the night is dark,
And I'm far from home.

Thanks be to God,
The morning light appears!
The storm is passing over,
The storm is passing over,
The storm is passing over!
Hallelujah!

The importance of greeting "Good morning" :)

Good evening, everyone!

Something short to share with you :)

It was usual morning day of the week that I have to attend to my client needs in Jalan Duta. Since I don't drive (in fact, I'm prohibited from driving), I would usually hail a cab to reach to my destination. My dad always taught me that it's important to greet people in Malaysia, especially the taximan. You will never know the rewards there :)

Thank God I really listen and pay attention and put into practice :)
I saw a cab approaching and I quickly hailed it to stop. I opened and peeked inside and saw an old Indian taximan. I quickly greet him a, "Good morning, sir. I would like to go to a place at Jalan Duta.". He looked at me, blinked a few times in astonishment, and replied with a smile, "Sure! Come in.".

I boarded in, and along the way, we started off into a conversation. He told me that he was surprised that I greeted him a good morning. Indeed, most people in Malaysian don't usually greet that way. He told me that he intend to go to another directions, but since I greeted him with such good manners, he willing take me to to my destination. I was so grateful for that, and I told him that :)

So, dear friends, when you decide to board a taxi, remember to greet that person. It will surely bring smile on their face. Everyone need encouragement everyday while at work. It boosts up good morale :)
You will see the importance of greeting people once you put it into practice :)

"Do to others as you would have them do to you." - Luke 6:31

Cheers!

Why the gloom?

Do you feel gloomy when you visit my blog?
Pretty dark, eh?

At first, i thought it's cool in a way... perhaps this make me less motivated to see my blog.
So now, i'm going to brighten up here, lest it's more livelier to see :)

Enjoy the new change, cheers!

Whatever. . .

Gosh... it's been so long that i didn't touch my blog.
Passed by many times... always ignoring... always feel so reluctant to type something...
Perhaps I'm distracted with things around me.

I shared to Ebi, telling her that i can't think of any inspiration to write in here. And there's she goes pop up with just a simple pharse, "type whatever".
Hah! That's what i'm typing now. Whatever! Whatever! O, whatever!

Now... this is the end of my whatever :)
Cheers for my nonsense!

*p/s: please click on the video to play.
*chorus*
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Lean not on your own understanding
In all of your ways acknowledge Him
And He will make you paths straight
Don't worry about tomorrow
He's got it under control
Just trust in the Lord with all of your heart
And He will carry you through
*verse*
Lord, sometimes it gets so tough
To keep my eyes on You
When things are going rough
But when I turn my eyes up to the sky
And I hear Your voice, it says to me
*repeat chorus*
So child do not be weary with the troubles
Of this world I have overcome
*repeat chorus*

"The Friendship Assessment"

Hello folks!
How are you? How is your day? Got enough rest/sleep?
Well then, today i would like to introduce a book that i'm currently reading now. It's a one great book about relationship. After reading few chapters, i get to appreciate every single relationship that really mean alot to me. So therefore from now on, I want to treasure every singe relationship from this moment on.

OK, so here is something fro the Relationship book that i want to show you all.

This is a exercise that will help you to evaluate the current conditions of each of your friendships. It will take about ten minutes or so, depending on how many friendships you evaluate.
Have a few specific friends in mind and then answer each of the following True and False questions as honestly as you can.

1. T/F - This person knows how to keep a secret.
2. T/F - We can disagreee and then make up without holding grudges.
3. T/F - This person almost always makes time for me, and I do the same for him/her.
4. T/F - When he/she gives me advice, it is generally without judgments.
5. T/F - I can totally be myself around this person.
6. T/F - He/she is a good listener.
7. T/F - This person has stuck by me through tough times and is willing to make personal sacrifices for me.
8. T/F - This person knows my faults, but loves me anyway.
9. T/F - Our relationship is balanced with give and take; we are equally vulnerable and caring.
10. T/F - I am able to set clear boundaries with this person when necessary and he/sehe respects them.
11. T/F - No subject is off-limits in our conversation.
12. T/F - I can always count on this person.

1. ___ Total numbers of "T" responses for [your friend's name].
2. ___ Total numbers of "T" responses for [your friend's name].
3. ___ Total numbers of "T" responses for [your friend's name].
4. ___ Total numbers of "T" responses for [your friend's name].
5. ___ Total numbers of "T" responses for [your friend's name].

Scoring: Add up the number of True responses you have for each friendship you evaluated. There is a possible total of twelve points for each relationship. To interpret your score, use the following:

10-12: No doubt about it, this is a good friend who is worth all the effort, care and investement. You will want to do all that you can to nurture this relationship and enjoy it.

7-9: Although this person could be more sensitive to your needs, this friend shows great potential. Be careful, however, hot to set yourself up for disappointment if this person doesn't meet all your expectations.

0-6: This friend is probably too fair-weather to see you through stormy times (and maybe even the sunny ones, too). Don't hang all your hopes on this one.

So there you are, folks :)
You can answer it all by commenting it down here.
Enjoy!

What had happened been 2 fruitful nights since last Monday and yesterday to see many things have been accomplished.

On the last Monday night, I met with all the leaders in my group, comprises of Calvin, Scott, Catherine, Hannah and Evelyn. We sat down and settle to talking and evaluating of our current Bible Talk's weaknesses and areas that need to change and grow in. That night itself, it's so easy to share out all the weaknesses and failures than the goodness of the Bible Talk. At the end, I personally felt encouraged that we all decided to take own personal responsibility to repent and change to be a better servant for others.

One of the sisters that I want to lift up here after the meeting is Evelyn. Evelyn is one of the great sisters that I know of. She's someone who can speak the truth with so much gentleness and can really melt your heart. I thanked for her truthfulness in telling me how I have been inwardly focus into my own problems, my own thoughts, or simply being in my own world as things revolved around me that required my attentions. I thanked for her telling me the truth of how unloving I have been and tend to give cold shoulders to many people. I have to learn to be warm to people again. I have to learn to bring joy and smile to others who are close to my heart and not leaving them out. Certainly I am taking this as challenge well to repent and to grow in loving people. I thought of how Jesus can be so warm and approachable with the people at that time. He never failed to give his attentions and really touched so many lives. His demeanors and gestures truly increased with more compassion and grace for others. People really felt impacted a lot to see this Jesus, who is so different from other great people in history. How amazing :)

In the end, we really gave hugs to everyone and encouraged each other. It was really warm and filled with friendship love :)

The second night on Tuesday was another fruitful one! That night, Scott and I studied the Bible with a friend called Michael. Throughout the Bible study session, I was amazed that Michael continued to give his heart and mind to understand God. He really enjoyed the opportunity to know God through The Word study. It helped to open the eyes of his heart to see how the Bible can really change many people lives for the better. He realized that the Bible can be so useful and so practical, even to today. It's not a book of technology progression; it's not a book of just story or historical events. It's the only book that speaks to the heart of every human being. I prayed that Michael will continue to be eager more and more in knowing God. In the end, we taught him about prayer as one of the process in growing to know God better and the Bible will be the mediator to speak to his heart.

Dear readers, I don't want you all to underestimate what the Bible can do. We maybe so naïve and can think highly of ourselves that we know what or which is better suits to our own life. If you are at doubt, why not take a moment to comment and let me help you to clarify for you. For your information, I personally am willing to set up appointment to study with Bible with you all who are seeking to know God. Just let me know when and where :)

OK, don't forget to leave your one cent worth of comment coz I will appreciate it :)

That's the title of the lesson that my church learned about from an awesome brother called Harlem Salim. He is a brother from Jakarta, Indonesia and he is leading a church there with his wife, Varnia Salim. Both of them were invited by my church over last week to preach and to inspire the church here in KL. They both are really amazing couple, so simple and so down to earth. Their life indeed truly a blessing for many those seeking God. So last week, my church really had one of our best treats to able to listen to the lesson that they've prepared J

Harlem was so smart and funny throughout the first lesson that he preached on this topic titled above. That night he preached a lot about love. Second Corinthians 5:11-15 truly touched my heart as I read of the love of Christ that can really compel us to love others. I thought of how Christ really willing to die on the cross and face up all kinds of trials to bring us hopes and forgiveness. Surely we don't deserve all of these. I thought of the moment that I can be so fearful of getting hurt, fearful of rejection from people, fearful from all kind of uncertainties, but you know what, readers? The real antidote to fear is love. So amazing :) In actual fact, love is really contagious. It spreads and infects others to do the same.

I really keep wondering how can the Bible can be really so amazing when it talks about love and certainly in the book of Philippians 2:1-4 really reminded us again about the way to show our loves to others is to take our time and heart to look into the interests of others and consider them better than our own. So amazing :)

Later Harlem started to share a moving story that really reflect the parallel of Christ's love for us. His family decided to have a holiday at Bali couple of weeks ago. Bali is well known for its infamous tourist spot to spend the entire time at beaches. I decided to take the effort to check out the surfing high waves of Bali. Indeed, the waves are truly amazing! It can reach at height of about close to 8 feet high! And so he brought his daughter, Tasha for a wave ride and sooner this little girl got a good hang of it. Then Harlem decided to bring her to an even further inside so that they can be at the top of the high wave. Suddenly they both caught up by the strong currents and decided to swim back with the kids without panicking. It got soon really dangerous and they try to keep swimming back to the shore but not much of a distance covered coz the current kept pulling them back. Everyone really got tired and that's when Harlem started to remember God and called for His help. Amazingly a handsome young man was surfing close by and saw them. He quickly jumped down and offer his help after much persuasion from Harlem to save his daughter. Harlem really shared that he couldn't bear to lose his daughter and let her die in the sea. He was even willingly to sacrifice his own life just to save his own daughter so that one day his daughter can live more to be a disciple one day. Thank God, the miracle was really amazing and they managed to swam back to the shore safely and dead tired. Later on Harlem told Tasha that they almost died if they had not really tried hard to swam back. What a shock Tasha had after hearing this from her dad. That moment, Tasha really thanked her dad so many times for saving her life. Wow… just like how Christ really did that for all of us 2000 years ago.

Next, Harlem preached about having vision. A dream. It could be one or many. It's contagious too. Taking a simple example of Thomas Edison who created the first bulb after thousands of attempt to light it up really help us to see what vision are like. Of course, the results are never instant but as long we continue to put more effort and not to give up easily, our rewards is soon to appear true. Don't forget, vision can be contagious. Once when people heard of such good plan, they sure will spread more around so that others would benefit from it as well.

In Matthews 9:27-29, there Jesus was approached by 2 blind men who wanted to be healed of their blindness. And it's so amazing that they can put a big faith that Jesus was able to heal them! So readers, do you lack faith when trials come? Do you not believe that God is able to perform many great things before your eyes? At this point of the lesson, I was thinking of the song called "He Is Able" which I heard many years ago. I got the song in mp3 and hopefully I can share and introduce to the song leaders of my church so that we can try it out and sing to inspire the whole church that God is able in every situations :)

I know that it's so certain that we can be so moved by great and inspiring dreams when we see it. However, the cliché is that most of us overestimate what we can do in short periods of time, but we tend to underestimate what we can do in longer periods of time. What do I mean by that? For instance, let's say that you want to buy a Toyota Vios. And you estimated that you would be able to get it by next year with a monthly salary of RM1K. What happened after that? Well, the chance for you to get the car is not possible at all. You've overestimate yourself. As for the underestimate, try figure it out yourself. You will get it there :) So therefore, let's be realistic and put our hope and trust in God. Only God is able, remember?

Ah.. .after listening that preaching in the end, my heart really felt relieved and inspired to do more for His kingdom. It's worth the try. It's worth the effort. Everything about God is really worth. Trust me. I have seen God works out for many things which may seems impossible. So readers, at the end of the day it's always our responsibility to be considerate and thoughtful of others and inspire them to do good things :) So, strive your best to be contagious in doing good. It can really make a lot of difference in this sad world.

Until then, I better make a move now. Got meeting up with my Bible Talk to discuss more amazing plans to inspire people more. Take care :)

“@12:45am

Hi folks! Goody day to you all :)
How are you? I’m still fine, in fact, feeling very excited to type all these out here at 12:45am earlier at midnight. No… there’s no coffee beside me for now to keep me awake (I’m allergic to it actually). I just need to make small decision to blurt all these out here.
So here you’re folks, as promised, this will be the first few posts due to come to keep this den alive and colorful :)

Let me confess here why in the first place I did not keep up with this blogging thingy for a long time. Three simple reasons. First, there’s no Internet at home. Second, coz I’m really lazy. And third, I don’t know how to express my thoughts through words. So therefore for now, I shall do my best to change that and to put my heart to share with you all thru this blog.

So folks, I’m trying to make this den here cozy as possible. Feel free to grab yourself some drinks and snacks and grab your favorite pillow to cuddle on. Just don’t touch or cuddle that lions. I’m not going to be responsible for whatever happen.

Folks, as I’m sharing and coming up with more posts in the future, I hope to keep this den alive as possible, but definitely it won’t works if you don’t want to give your one cent worth of comments. Your every one cent worth of comments is very much appreciated to keep me more motivated to type more :)

Later, I will share something else next of what happened in my church last week.
p/s: PSU a bit (PSU – please scroll up)

Friday, July 27, 2007

Dear readers, it has been a long long long time that i didn't post up anything here. A glance of it, it sure seems stale and dead, and cold as if you're in a den of lions.

Recently, a dear friend of mine, Clara from Singapore really inspired me with her blog. And one of her sections talk about 'missing out' blogging that really encouraged me to ponder what are the goodness of blogging - to inspire others! :)

So for now, I decided to take a change of it and brighten it up with more sharings what went through the thoughts of many as well as mine. Surely life would be amazing to live on when you are able to share it with others. Hmm... I just got a PDA with a 1.2Megapixel camera, though not quite a feat to capture a very good picture, but I will still make use of it to post up pictures to brighten up this den :)

So dear readers, take heart and wait in anticipation to be inspired! (I will try my best, though!)

Until then, I can already get to taste the path towards simple and basic journalism (Hehehe!) :)

Adios!

Day 1: The Way to Wholeness

Good morning!

Today I have decided to embark into this journey of discovering this book, the Book of Leviticus. At the first impressions of it and skimming through it and even tried to read it entirely, I must admit that it’s really a boring book. So many rituals and ceremonies to remember that I can easily lost track. The contents and the meaning of the book is very hard to grasp! Until later I saw this book at a bookshop and decide to buy this book, “The Way to Wholeness” for my dear friend’s 25th birthday last year. Last Wednesday she was kind enough to let me read first so that I can study it and intend to share to all of you in this blog. I think this guide book will be wonderful one and I have the conviction that the author will slowly reveals the real beauty of Leviticus J

So, let’s get started now.
The central theme verse that sums the whole entire book of Leviticus is Leviticus 20:26, “You are to be holy because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.”

The keyword in this verse is holy. For many of us the word holy carries a weighted meaning of what it means to be or how to be holy. So, what does the word holy mean to you?

There are people often associate holiness as in people choose to live a life of aestheticism, isolating themselves into high mountains or going to somewhere remote to meditate. Another people would often associate holiness as in they become very super religious and living grimly without pleasures in life.

But guess what, the book helped me to see a different picture of what holiness is all about! In fact, holiness is BEAUTIFUL and GLORIOUS. The Bible has spoke of it many times in Psalms, both 1 Chronicles and 2 Chronicles, emphasizing the wonders of holiness.

Did you know, that the word holiness got almost the synonym to the word wholeness which comes from the Old English words? The Old English word is hali or haliq, which has many varied shades of meaning as wholeness, completeness, health and even wealth!
So what do you think God is trying to tell us? I think God is trying to tell us to be complete. To be whole. Just like Him.

In God, there’s not a single imperfection. He lives in harmony with Himself. But what about you and I? You and I still wretched, broken, chaotic and incomplete. And these, we are aware of the inability to be cope with our daily life. At times, we usually think we can put on the mask to cover the shame and guilt so that others will not see. We pretended that we are someone great. We think that we can handle our own problems. But sadly, under the masks that we wear, we are still hurting and felt lost deep inside our hearts.

Today, I am grateful to know that God have looked beyond our weaknesses. He knows us well. He knows our limits. He understand the struggles that we have to bear. So this book of Leviticus will offer another hope for us, that is God will be the one will stand side by side with us as we decide to embark the journey to become holy. So please bear in mind that the central theme verse that sums the entire book of Leviticus is the verse above mentioned.

We will surely come to realize that this book is not a boring book, rather this book is penned by God out of His amazing love that He has for each of us. And this is always been my conviction, God will surely help us and reveal the mystery of His words to us when we sincerely yearn for it.

OK, I gotta stop right here now. Tomorrow I will continue to share the first chapter of Leviticus. So stay tuned J
