Good evening, everyone!
Something short to share with you :)
It was usual morning day of the week that I have to attend to my client needs in Jalan Duta. Since I don't drive (in fact, I'm prohibited from driving), I would usually hail a cab to reach to my destination. My dad always taught me that it's important to greet people in Malaysia, especially the taximan. You will never know the rewards there :)
Thank God I really listen and pay attention and put into practice :)
I saw a cab approaching and I quickly hailed it to stop. I opened and peeked inside and saw an old Indian taximan. I quickly greet him a, "Good morning, sir. I would like to go to a place at Jalan Duta.". He looked at me, blinked a few times in astonishment, and replied with a smile, "Sure! Come in.".
I boarded in, and along the way, we started off into a conversation. He told me that he was surprised that I greeted him a good morning. Indeed, most people in Malaysian don't usually greet that way. He told me that he intend to go to another directions, but since I greeted him with such good manners, he willing take me to to my destination. I was so grateful for that, and I told him that :)
So, dear friends, when you decide to board a taxi, remember to greet that person. It will surely bring smile on their face. Everyone need encouragement everyday while at work. It boosts up good morale :)
You will see the importance of greeting people once you put it into practice :)
"Do to others as you would have them do to you." - Luke 6:31
Cheers!
